G.A.S.C. Student Award

(Established 2014)

The Generative Anthropology Society & Conference offers an annual award for the best student paper proposed for its Summer Conference.  The award consists of:

  • $400 CDN (or equivalent in currency of choice)
  • Free Conference registration
  • Participation in a Publication Workshop at the Conference

Authors of other worthy entries will receive free registration at the Conference and participation in the Publication Workshop. The Publication Workshop offers winners the opportunity to work with established scholars from the GASC program committee to develop their papers for submission to peer-reviewed journals. 

Eligibility:        Open to students registered at any level of study, anywhere in the world.  Students who have previously participated in or presented at GASC conferences are welcome to apply.  Winners must attend the Conference to receive the award.

To Apply:         Submit the full text of a 20-minute paper to the chief organizer of the Conference, as listed on the Call for Papers. 

Deadline:          Next year: a paper proposal must usually be submitted by March 31st, and the full text by April 30st, 2023
